Check that the correct source is selected under “Audio Out” system preferences.
Most often it should be listed as "HDMI" or "Displayport"
If you are unsure which option to choose, just press and try it out.
-
Check that the correct source is selected on the screen "Connection A/B" for HDMI cable, "AppleTV A/B" for AirPlay
If the door is to be open and both screens are to be used, check that "Door Open" is selected under "Help"
If the screen suddenly turns blue, someone turned off the screen in the other part of the auditorium. To fix this, select the source again.

If the WIFI network is acting up and flashing/spinning without connecting, you should try forgetting/deleting the network from your Macbook, and then adding it again.
This may occur once or twice during the school year, and is related to the IT department rolling out the certificate for encrypting the wifi signal, which protects against unauthorized persons eavesdropping on our wifi signals.
However, if you are asked to re-enter your wifi password, it is possible that your password has changed recently. But it is worth trying to follow the instructions here. If you continue to be asked about your username/password after following the instructions, you are probably using the wrong password. In that case, you will either need to create a new password with the IT department, or you can try to find the password yourself in the keychain on your Macbook.
1. Go to System Preferences
2. Select Network
3. Select Advanced
4. Select the network "Metis" or "BPG" from the list, depending on which school you come from, and press minus/delete.
5. Press Apply to save.
6. You are now ready to log back into WIFI by selecting the network called "Metis" or "BPG", depending on which school you are at.
7. Once you have selected the correct network and entered your login details, you will be asked to approve the certificate.
Here you just select "Continue".
8. Your Macbook may ask you to enter an additional password to verify the certificate, in which case just enter the password you use to log in to your Macbook itself.

6. Go to the printer and scan your ID card and fill in the short Metis ID.
7. You will now see your print queue.

"Google Drive" is also called "Google Disk".
All students and teachers have access to cloud storage via Google Drive, using your MetisID.
When you create and work on a document or file, you can either save it locally on your Macbook's hard drive, or you can save it to Google Drive (cloud storage).
When you store documents in Google Drive, you can be sure that they are safe even if your Macbook is broken or stolen, and you can easily access the documents from another computer by logging into the same Google account.
In other words, your documents and files are safely stored in the cloud with Google.
All users have unlimited storage space, but remember that your content will be deleted automatically when you are finished as a student or teacher at our schools.
On the Macbook that students and teachers are given, the program "Google Drive" is pre-installed, or is automatically installed when you log in to the Macbook for the first time.
If you have recently started your Macbook for the first time and you do not find "Google Drive" in the program list, it may take about 1 hour for the program to be automatically installed.
1. Log in to Google Drive
Before you can use cloud storage on your Macbook, you must log in.
Press the following keys on your Macbook and search for "Google Drive":
Once you have opened the "Google Drive" program, you will be asked to log in:
Log in with your MetisID, your username must include "@metis.no" or "@bpg.no" at the end.
2. How to use Google Drive
You use Google Drive in exactly the same way as you use regular file storage on your Macbook, the only thing you need to remember is that you put your files in the correct folder as specified below.
Your Google Drive storage space (Cloud storage) will become visible in the form of a new folder in the finder window on your Macbook, called "Google Drive".
Once you have opened your storage area as shown above, you save your files inside the folder called "My Drive".
When you want to open a file or document that you have saved in your storage area, do the same exercise by navigating to "My Drive", and in this folder you should find your file in question.
All files stored this way are safely transferred to the cloud and will still be available even if your Macbook is destroyed or stolen.
3. How to share files from your Google Drive
Find the file you want and tap with two fingers (right-click) on the file.
Then search for the name or enter the email address of the user(s) with whom you want to share the file.
An email will now be sent to the user(s) with information that you have shared the file with them.
To open a file that someone has shared with you, you must open Google Drive in a browser, as shared files are not visible to you through the finder window on your Macbook.
You can easily open Google Drive in your browser by tapping the Google Drive icon at the top of your screen, tapping your username/email once, then tapping the browser icon.
When you are in Google Drive from the browser, press the following button to see files that have been shared with you.

Each individual employee is responsible for checking that the film has a producer on the above list before showing the film to the students.

Here you must log in with your private account on the streaming platform.

When you have turned on "Find My Mac" on your Macbook, the device is locked to your iCloud account, so that during service/repair or when returning/ending school, the device is completely locked.
Therefore, this feature must be disabled in order for us to continue servicing the device.
Very important that you do not select "Delete Device" (This function will not remove "Where is?").
Procedure:
1. Go to www.icloud.com/find/ and log in with the Apple ID used for the submitted product.
2. Select "All devices". By highlighting the desired device you will now have new options
3. Select "Remove from account"
4. If this button is not visible, select "All devices" again and you will now see an "X" to the right of the selected device.
5. Click on "X" and you will be prompted to "Remove iPhone/iPad/Mac/Apple Watch/Accessory"
6. Once this is done, the selected device will disappear from the list and the device is out of "Where is?"

If you have forgotten your password, it is possible to check the Keychain on your Macbook to see if you have "remembered" the password there the last time you entered it.
When you enter the password to log in to wifi, websites or programs, you are usually asked if you want to "remember" it in the Keychain on your Macbook for next time.
1. Press the following key combination to open Spotlight search.
2. Type "Keyring" and press enter.
3. You will now see a list of all your saved passwords. There are several names your password may be under in the list. Here are some examples of what the entries might be called:
– Metis AirPrint
– Metis
– YOUR-USERNAME@metis.no
– YOUR USERNAME
4. Tap on the relevant entry and check "Show password" to see the saved password. You will now be asked to enter your Macbook password to be allowed to see the saved password.
5. If the password you have saved is not correct, then it may be a good idea to look at several of the entries you find to see if one of them has the correct password.
6. If none of the passwords work, the last resort is to visit the IT department to choose a new password for your account.

When you have traveled for work or purchased goods on behalf of your employer, for which you wish to be reimbursed, we use Poweroffice to submit an expense receipt.
It is important that you receive a receipt/proof of purchase so that your employer has the opportunity to reimburse the expense.
Once you have followed the steps below and are ready to record expenses, everything happens in an app on your smartphone. You do not use a computer. The camera on your smartphone is used to take pictures of any receipts.
1. Download the app
You need to download TWO apps on your smartphone to access Poweroffice:
PowerID (only for two-factor login)
Poweroffice GO Mobile (this is where expenses are entered)
Both apps are available on both Android and iOS devices.
2. Log in
Most people have received an invitation from Poweroffice via email before, where you were asked to click on a link to create a password for your Poweroffice account.
The invitation was only available for a few days, so if you didn't click the link in time, it has expired.
Your account has been created in Poweroffice, against your work email address, even if you did not accept the invitation, so you have the option to select "Forgot password" and fill in your email address. You will then be sent an email to reset your password.
Feel free to try the short and long versions of your email address.
If you are told that the email address does not exist when you try to order a forgotten password, it is possible that we have not created an account for you.
If you are a new employee, you probably haven't created an account.
Send an email to the IT department at support@metis.no and we will help you.
Once you have chosen a new password, you are ready to log in to Poweroffice Go Mobile.
The username is your email address.
3. Create new expense
Open the Poweroffice GO Mobile app on your smartphone.
Create a new layout like this:
Then fill in the following fields:
At the top of the page, tap camera, image file or pdf file.
Receipt date/purchase date
Amount and currency
Type
Once the information has been filled in and you have submitted the expense, it will be approved by someone in the administration before it is sent to the accounting office for payment to you.
Poweroffice also has a YouTube video that illustrates how to create an expense .
