Metis Utdanning AS is the data controller for personal data processed in accordance with this privacy policy. Metis Utdanning AS is also the data controller for consent to tracking and cookies (including similar technologies) used on all Metis-affiliated websites that are part of the same consent group. This applies even if personal data may subsequently be processed by different legal entities within the Metis group or by external data processors on our behalf.

When you order a product from us, we collect personal information from you.

When advising/customer service
When you contact us for help or information, we may collect personal information so that we can better understand you and provide better assistance. If you have a customer relationship with us, we may log personal information in connection with inquiries from you, on your customer card, so that we can better manage the customer relationship.

 

For statistics, analysis and marketing
We collect activity information and personal identifiers from you when you visit our website. The activity information is used to create anonymous statistics and overviews of usage patterns.

 

The information is used to improve our services and content.
The information is used to provide you with relevant offers and advertisements when you are within our marketing partners' advertising networks.

Activity information consists of your behavior patterns on our website, here are some examples:

By using our digital facilities and learning tools
When you use our digital facilities such as wifi and internet, printers/printing, or various software/learning tools, we may create a personal user account for you, which contains your personal information.

When using wifi and the internet, we collect activity information from you that is available for a short period of time. The purpose of the activity information is to create anonymous statistics on consumption and to prevent misuse of the service.

 

When using an access card
When using an access card to gain physical access to our premises or elevator, information about the time and date is stored, along with a reference to your personal user account.
The information can be used in cases where there has been, for example, burglary, vandalism, or similar unwanted incidents.

 

Obtaining information

Your personal information is collected as follows:

● You provide the information over the phone.

● You show up at our premises and provide information to our employees.

If you choose not to provide personal information, you may be prevented from receiving an offer of a personal tutor based on missing information. We have the technical and organizational security solutions required by law to ensure that your personal information is not manipulated, lost or accessed by unauthorized persons.

Cookies, Tracking and Consent Across Metis Sites

Data controller for the consent

Metis Utdanning AS is the data controller for consent to tracking, cookies and similar technologies used on Metis' websites in the same consent group (cf. the section below about domains).

Purpose, sharing and third-party providers

Cross-domain consent

Disclosure of information to third parties

We use technical systems provided by external suppliers and in this context your personal information may be passed on to one or more of these systems.

We follow Norwegian data protection legislation to ensure that your personal information does not go astray, which is why we enter into data processing agreements with our external suppliers.
A data processing agreement should ensure that personal data is processed in accordance with Norwegian regulations and set a clear framework for how the data processor can process information.

Access and correction

According to the Personal Data Act §18, you have the right to access the information that is registered about you. Access can be obtained by sending a written request to the Data Protection Officer. If the registered information is incorrect or incomplete, you can demand that it be corrected in accordance with the Personal Data Act §27.

How is the information deleted?

According to the Personal Data Act §28, information that is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was created must be deleted. We store personal information in accordance with the applicable legislation at any time. If you would like to submit a request to have your information deleted from us, please contact the Data Protection Officer.

Rights

As a user of our website, you have the right to request access to the personal data that we process about you and how it is processed. You can also request correction, deletion and restrictions on the processing of personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act.
Where the processing of personal data is based on consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time.

If you believe that we have not complied with your rights under the Personal Data Act, you have the right to complain to the relevant supervisory authority. This is done by sending a complaint to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, contact information is available at www.datatilsynet.no.

Changes to the Privacy Policy
