Health at Metis

The health department on the 4th floor at Metis consists of nurses Anne Marie Ulvolden and Ingunn Slåke, and social worker Gosken (Geir-Oskar) Silseth.

With us you can come and talk about whatever you want, it can be physical things, various aches, sexual health, or mental challenges. It's not like life is always easy. But it's often very nice to share things with others, it can make the pain a little less painful.

Talking can help prevent things from getting worse. Sharing things with others can make things more manageable.

Conversations we have with students can also often revolve around life, death, love, home situations or problems in relationships with parents or peers. It may also be that you have challenges related to learning or concentration, or reading and writing difficulties/dyslexia. We can talk to you about such things. Sometimes conversations and adaptation at school are enough. Cooperation with teachers is essential here.

The health department can also provide help from other agencies if you need it. The most common partners are the family, BUP (Children and Adolescent Psychiatry), the GP, the Youth Health Centre, Life Crisis Help, Children and Family Help, ROS (Council on Eating Disorders), DPS (District Psychiatric Centre), the child welfare service and more.

The health department can be found on the 4th floor, or you can contact us here:
