Sustainability
Metis Education shall be a responsible social actor and part of the solution to the global challenges of environment, economy and social development by educating responsible citizens who shape a sustainable future.
Metis has a special focus on UN Sustainable Development Goals No. 4 “Good Education”, No. 13 “Stop Climate Change” and No. 17 “Work together to achieve the Goals”.
Sustainable Development Goal No. 4
Good education is described as follows: By ensuring inclusive, equitable and quality education and promoting opportunities for lifelong learning for all.
Metis is committed to realizing the UN's Sustainable Development Goals through high-quality knowledge dissemination. We will provide our students and private students with good teaching and follow-up, where one of the goals is that we will educate responsible citizens who shape a sustainable future and are part of the solution to the global challenges of environmental, economic and social development.
Sustainable Development Goal No. 13
Stopping climate change is about everyone taking action to save the climate.
Therefore, Metis Education should
reuse equipment where possible
Sort paper, plastic, electrical and electronic products at source
focus on energy consumption
have central premises that are close to public transport hubs and where cycling to work is well-suited
encourage employees to travel by train if possible, or choose a destination that is not too far away on study trips, employee trips, etc.
Sustainability No. 17
Collaboration to achieve goals.
Metis Education follows up on its suppliers with a focus on sustainability and the environment.
Therefore, we enter into dialogue and set requirements regarding sustainability, energy use and source separation with any new landlords when entering into new leases, and follow up and challenge suppliers on sustainability in negotiations for new agreements.
