Student mobility: Valencia, Spain 23/10-28/10 2022

Host School: Colegio Santa Maria Marianistas

Participants from Metis: four students from Sales, Service and Tourism (Business), Stephanie, Aurora, Erik, Elias and Karoline together with two teachers Andreas Fosso Dale & Nina Kristiansen.

The Metis students worked on the following topic: Mobile learning through visualization of projects and navigation in JigSpace

In Valencia, the parties from Hull, Bremerhaven, Valencia and Bergen presented their project. The Metis students talked about the beach clean-up they had participated in as a school project in Bergen and showed the beach location and findings using the JigSpace application. Not as interactive as intended, as the other participants did not have access to mobile phones or tablets, which would have enabled them to view the 3D images on their own device, and thus participate.

In addition to the presentations, students participated in Kahoot activities and discussions about climate issues in new groups of mixed nationality.

There was also time for cultural activities:

1. Tour of the old town of Valencia using the Actionbound app. The students and teachers went together with participants from Valencia as guides.

2. Walk along the Alboraya coastal path to the beach (Port Saplaya) for some dodgeball and other ball games, as well as wading in the water.

To sum up, it was a pleasant and educational experience. Nice to meet students from other nations. The world's climate issues have become more "visible" through the people and friendships we now have; we have gained new international connections and the teenagers have created groups on social media.
