International meeting, “Elmo and Citizens Inquiry” Valencia, Spain April 4-9, 2022

We combined two Erasmus+ projects, Elmo and Citizens Inquiry and met in Valencia, Spain 4-9 April 2022.

The Citizens Inquiry project is led by the University of Hull (England) and has partners from Germany, Spain and Metis from Norway, while the Elmo project is led by Metis and has partners from Greece, Italy and Spain. Metis, together with the partner school from Valencia, participates in both projects.

The two projects consist of different elements, but have a common topic as a starting point: Climate and sustainability. Both projects revolve around student activities where students use mobile learning tools and various digital applications.

The purpose of the event in Valencia was to share these student activities that we have been working on together with our respective students, as well as discuss the theoretical framework we are working from: the iPac model developed by Dr Kevin Burden (University of Hull). Read more here.

The Metis partners presented the activity that students from the English and Spanish programs have been working on, where they have used the Actionbound app to create a tourist trail in Bergen with a focus on sustainability. See more about Actionbound here.

The Metis partners' Actionbound presentation inspired the Spanish partners to arrange a historical tour for us around Valencia using Actionbound.
