Bergen 2025

In March 2025, Metis High School in Bergen welcomed seven students from the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore “Evangelista Torricelli” in Milan for a joint Erasmus+ project on the theme of Overconsumption and Environmental Consequences . The activity was interdisciplinary and combined English and Chemistry.

Before the visit, the students had watched the Netflix documentary Buy Now! and reflected on global overconsumption. During the stay, Norwegian and Italian students worked together in international groups, participated in guided visits to VilVite and the University Museum, and received lectures from experts in sustainability, climate and consumer habits.

The program also included cultural activities such as a hike to Fløyen and a rebus race in downtown Bergen. The students engaged in discussions and group assignments on how we can act more sustainably, laying the foundation for further work in Milan at the end of March.

The visit contributed to increased awareness of environmental challenges, as well as strengthened cooperation and cultural understanding between the students.
