What is Erasmus+?
It is an EU/EEA programme, managed in Norway by DIKU. Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships support professional cooperation in Europe to develop, exchange and test innovative practices and pedagogical methods. The aim is to strengthen the quality of education at all levels of education and learning across borders.
New projects 2023-2027: Erasmus+ Accreditation
New projects 2023-2027: Erasmus+ Accreditation which is a tool for education and training organizations that want to open up for exchange and cooperation across borders. Metis is proud to have received accreditation 2023-2027 and we started the first international project in August 2023.

Three classes from Metis will participate in the project: 1sta, 1stb and 1idra, as part of their English lessons.
Dates and host nations for student mobility:
29/9-4/10 2023: DanmUke 49: Five German students visit St. Hildegardis gymnasium, Cologne, Germany
Week 10: Students from Greve Gymnas in Copenhagen, Denmark; Evangelista Torricelli, Milan, Italy and Lycée Renouvier, Prades, France visit Metis
Week 12: Ten chemistry students visit Evangelista Torricelli, Milan, Italy.
Week 16: Ten Vg3 students visit Greve Gymnasium, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Week 19: Five Vg1/Vg2 students visit Lycée Renouvier, Prades, France
Teacher Training:
Week 4: Two Metis teachers go to teacher training in Barcelona
Week 10. One teacher goes to teacher training in Milan
Job shadowing dates are not yet set. However, we plan for 4 or 6 Metis teachers to shadow colleagues at the partner schools. Metis will also receive teachers for job shadowing.

Student mobility.
Ten students from Metis Upper Secondary School participated in a five-day Erasmus+ exchange program with Greve Gymnasium.

Metis high school welcomed seven students from the school Istituto di Istruzione Superiore in Milan.

Students from Metis high school participated in a 4-day mobility project organized by the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore school in Milan.
Teacher training.
Spanish teachers Ann Kristin Juvkam and Bjørg Ane Ferkingstad Sandve from Metis High School participated in a job shadowing stay at the AIL school in Málaga, Spain.

Five students from Metis Upper Secondary School in Bergen participated in an Erasmus+ student exchange to St. Hildegardis Gymnasium in Duisburg, Germany.
Job shadowing.
In March 2025, Filippo Dotti, a mathematics teacher at our partner school "E. Torricelli" in Milan, Italy, participated in a job shadowing program with us at Metis.
Teacher training.
Chemistry teachers Randi and Monica participated in the Nordic Chemistry Learning Conference (NCL2024).
13 students from Metis (1stb and 1idra) participated in the student mobility to Lisbon, where they collaborated with 28 students from the Netherlands and 15 students from the host school.
Metis has won the EU award for the Erasmus+ project Moltam (2017-2020), the “2021 European Innovative Teaching Award”.
